Robinson Consulting works mainly on Rural, Local Government, Landcare, Forestry, Salinity and Social Issues. Established initially as a rural consultancy business by building on comprehensive experience gained from successful management of a farm business and extensive voluntary contribution in the local and regional communities, along with representation on State and Commonwealth Committees by Ministerial appointments, the firm also now works in a wider field of endeavour, such as providing expertise in professional Mediation.

Robinson Consulting has as its Principal, Pam Robinson OAM, a respected and effective leader with a demonstrated high level of interpersonal, oral and written communication skills. She is both experienced and comfortable working with minimal supervision and also has a proven capacity to engage as a member of a team.

Pam has 30 years experience and participation at a Local, Regional, State and National level with Community and Governments working towards solution based outcomes in a broad range of natural resource management and community development issues. Social Assessment of communities has been the particular focus of her Consultancy work over the past six years, working towards integrated decision making for a wide range of programmes and processes being undertaken by the Commonwealth and State with community.

Pam's recent employment history has included working for the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry, Canberra, the Department of Land and Water Conservation NSW , Natural Resources and Environment VIC and advice to private business.

Representation on various organizations is a large part of Pam's involvement.
She is currently on:-

  • Parks Victoria - Board Member.
  • Planning Panels Victoria - Sessional Panel Member.

  • Municipal Association of Victoria appointee to the Decade of Landcare Plan
  • Founding Member and Inaugural Chairperson of the Warrenbayne-Boho Land Protection Group
  • Inaugural Member of the State Government's Goulburn-Broken Salinity Pilot Program
  • Shire President of the former Shire of Violet Town (12 years representative of the Warrenbayne Riding)

Pam has presented Papers and Presentations on the outcomes of her work to many organizations over the past years, such as the World Forestry Congress in Turkey, as a visiting lecturer at Oxford University, (Master of Science (Forestry) students, and the OECD in regards to Rural Amenities and Development in Australia's Native Forests, and at Regional, State and National Community based forums.

A strong believer that effective solutions are achieved by adopting a cooperative and outcome oriented approach with the community, Pam has recognised analytical skills and has undertaken research for various projects either for her own presentation or in order to provide advice to Leaders in Government and Industry. Establishing effective two-way communication channels and linkages between Community and Governments is an attribute she brings to all her work.
